Business or organization psychology is an applied science approach to help determine how people and organizations can work more effectively. The practice of business psychology includes various areas of expertise, including: advice, diagnosis, design, delivery and evaluation.More and more often, business leaders are trying to find better ways to increase efficiency, reduce worker turn over, improve motivation and highlight sustainability. It has a reciprocal relationship with business, drawing insights from those with experience of what works at work to enable psychological research to be applied pragmatically in ways that are appropriate to the situation. It also allows a cross fertilization of experience: from business into psychology, and of academic knowledge and rigour from psychology into business. This book will showcase some of the current international research in the field of psychology as it relates to the workplace. It provides detail of decision management, business intelligence, service oriented approach, business process management, artificial intelligence tools, communication technologies, corporate entrepreneurship and business plan. It uses social scientific research methods to study people, workplaces and organizations in order to better align their multiple and sometimes competing needs. The reader is offered thought-provoking research into decision making, evaluation bias, absenteeism, workplace behaviour, leadership and work quality.
