About Book

Digital electronics or digital (electronic) circuits are electronics that handle digital signals- discrete bands of analog levels – rather than by continuous ranges. All levels within a band of values represent the same numeric value. Digital electronic circuits are usually made from large assemblies of logic gates, often packaged in integrated circuits. Since digital electronics are incorporated in almost every technical application, it became compulsory for all non-electronic engineers to deal, at least to some extent, with some aspects of digital electronics. One of the most important reasons for the unprecedented growth of digital electronics is the advent of integrated circuits. Developments in IC technology have made it possible to fabricate complex digital circuits, such as microprocessors, memory units, etc. on tiny chips of silicon. This book reveals the principles and practices of modern digital electronics. It deals with digital signal processing, frequency measurement, digital control system, electronic communication, mechatronic systems, hybrid heuristics and digital transformation. It combines elements from various fields like embedded systems, power electronics, analog electronics and digital electronics, etc. It picks up individual topics and explains their need and contribution in the context of the growth of this subject. It presents the complex subject of electronic engineering in the most comprehensible and easy to understand language. For someone with an interest and eye for detail, this book covers the most significant topics in the field of electronics.
