About Book

With the quickly developing population, interests for more food, loss of produced crops and different issues in the agrarian yield are the primary explanations behind the shortage of food and are the greatest worry in certain pieces of the world confronting today. This has prompted an increase in the prerequisite of procedures that can help in the administration of the yields produced. Crop production is concerned with growing crops for use as fibre and food. Practices for crop production include preparation of soil, sowing of seeds, irrigation, application of manure, pesticides, protecting and harvesting crops, storage and preserving the produced crops. Climate change is also expected to adversely affect agriculture and the sustainable development capabilities of most developing countries by aggravating pressures on natural resources and the environment. To overcome this we have to increase crop diversity by inter-cropping and appropriate cropping systems, rotations, land use; adopt land, water conservation agriculture methods suited to varied agro-climates, balanced use of biocides chemicals; use water judiciously: more crop unit of water; use less fossil fuels; use more solar, wind sources of energy. This book provides comprehensive insights into the field of crop production. It explores the current state of agriculture production and the potential ways that will affect yield. It discusses crop physiology and productivity, pseudomonas chlororaphis, tillage effects, herbicides, terminal drought, prolongation effect, carbon pools and nutrient management. It outlines the processes and applications of the subject in detail. The topic covered in the extensive book deal with the core subject of crop production. As this field is emerging at a rapid pace, the contents of this book will help the readers understand the modern concepts and applications of the subjects.
